Save the Children in Myanmar, along with its partner the Myanmar Health Assistants Association (MHAA), will work together to strengthen efforts to contain the spread of multi-drug resistant (MDR) Plasmodium falciparum malaria in the Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS). The specific objectives of the project include: 1) developing and scaling-up of cost-effective vector control interventions to prevent the transmission of malaria; 2) improving the quality and effectiveness of diagnosis and treatment of malaria at the community and health facility levels (public and private); 3) reducing management bottlenecks to implement and monitor malaria control activities; and 4) supporting the establishment and maintenance of strategic information for malaria control.

This Scope of Work aims to outline the main activities of MHAA in this program, which will be done with the technical support and oversight of Save the Children in Myanmar.
